Westfield Falls
The waters of Fall Brook approach fractured traprock cliffs in the north of Middletown, splintering into parallel waterfalls and churning through turbulent cascades before heading north to join the Mattabesset.
During drier months, Westfield Falls is comprised of two distinct waterfalls, the tallest plunging some 25 feet or more over a vertical rock face. When Fall Brook swells with run-off, a third waterfall springs forth and the furious deluge presents a mighty spectacle of roaring whitewater.
