Kent Falls
Falls Brook amasses its waters from the furrowed woodlands of Kent and Warren, weaving through shadowy hollows before staging a dramatic, quarter-mile descent through a weathered gorge of gneiss and water-sculpted limestone.
Undoubtedly among Connecticut’s most celebrated waterfalls, Kent Falls is actually a dense grouping of several exquisite waterfalls formed as Falls Brook plunges and cascades some 250 feet towards its junction with the Housatonic River in northeastern Kent. Much of the lower gorge is carved from distinctive Stockbridge Marble, its varying blend of pale and dark tones lending a unique aesthetic to this already awe-inspiring natural treasure.
