Codfish Falls
Fishers Brook rises in the broad, farm-dotted uplands of Willington, weaving south into Mansfield before descending some 20 feet through a narrow, mossy gorge jammed with fallen trees.
Codfish Falls is formed by a series of successive drops along Fishers Brook, a picturesque woodland stream that perennially accumulates forest detritus in the form of stray timbers that fall from the gorge rim and get lodged in the rocky outcroppings of the ravine below.
